Will and Kate – Proud Parents at Prince George’s Christening

Prince George, the 3 month old son of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was christened yesterday at St James’s Palace. Now this took me back to 1982, when Prince William was christened. In fact, on the 4th of August 1982, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Robert Runcie, in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace.

I used to be a Royal fanatic, and collected every single photograph of Princess Diana in particular. I used to have a gigantic scrapbook (ok, it only looked gigantic because I was only about 5 years old at the time) filled with various pictures of Diana, Charles and their offspring, some of which were of the baptism of Prince William. So, I thought that it might be lovely to reminisce and then compare William’s christening in 1982 to that of his son, Prince George, which took place yesterday.
